Revelation 3:1-13
In this week's message from Revelation 3 John takes us through letters to the church of Sardis and Philadelphia. Although Jesus doesn’t have anything negative to say about the church in Philadelphia, he has plenty to say to the congregation of Sardis. He says the church had the appearance of a vibrant life, but under the surface there was corroding stagnation. We of course have to be careful not to fall into the same trap today, claiming the name of Jesus with our lips but living lives that are no way distinct from the world.
